Forest Bathing at Magic Tree Sanctuary

Saturday, September 14, 2019

10am-2:30pm

Take a break from the stresses of every day life and experience the healing power of nature connection during a guided forest bathing event. (No actual bathing required!)

Forest bathing, or shinrin yoku is a simple science-backed practice, originating in Japan more than 30 years ago. Some of the proven benefits are reduced stress, improved mood, lower blood pressure, and a boosted immune system.

Discover a new way to be in nature! In the two and half hour session, the forest is the therapist and Julie, your forest therapy guide, opens the door for you to deeply connect with nature through a series of sensory connection invitations designed to help you slow down and awaken your senses. Together, we will let go of stress and become fully present as we connect with the natural world’s medicine, ourselves and others.

After the walk, you are invited to stay longer to relax, reflect, explore further. Bring your picnic lunch and we will provide beverages.

Registration is required as space is limited to 12 guests.

Registration: $35 ~ includes the program, picnic area and beverages (Please bring your picnic lunch.)

Registration closes on September 12th.

This is a rain or shine event. Guests need not be ultra-fit, but should be able to walk comfortably on woodland trails, which often has uneven terrain.
