What Our Guests Are Saying
After the passing of my mother I was in desperate need of healing.I spent a weekend with Julie and Bob’s magic trees and it was wonderful. Much needed food for my soul.Julie was super sweet with a smile so warm I knew instantly that I was in the right place. Bob’s guided hike through the forest was amazing. They set me up with a little tent and a hammock. There’s not a better way to spend a lazy afternoon than to nap in a hammock under those beautiful trees. They have a gorgeous cabin available for rent. Romantic!I highly recommend spending time at The Magic Tree Sanctuary. Truly a slice of heaven, made even more special because of Julie and Bob’s kindness.
Beautiful landscape carefully maintained by two people who truly appreciate what Mother Nature has provided. I greatly enjoyed the Unplug event packed with fun, fellowship, delicious food and education. I’m looking forward to returning!

The Magic Tree Sanctuary was the perfect venue for our Earth Day wedding. The Hobbit Tree and surrounding forest were magical, and pavilion made for a truly rustic reception area. We stayed at the small cabin on site and loved being near our venue but secluded from our family that traveled from out of town and stayed in cabins in the surrounding area. We brought in everything we needed for the ceremony and reception. And with the help of some family and close friends, made the reception area exactly how I envisioned it. Julie was instrumental in helping to pick up our catered food and cupcakes. And Bob was excited to climb a tree and snap a few photos of us from a different perspective. It was a fabulous weekend. We are so thankful to have shared our vows in such a stunning location amongst the trees and nature. It truly was magical.
I attended the “Unplug & Recharge” retreat at the Magic Tree Sanctuary in October. What a truly magical place, and when combined with the kind hospitality shown to me by owners Bob and Julie, the weekend was more than I could have imagined. I so enjoyed Bob’s morning walking tour and learning about the rich history of this beautiful space; my alone time to just “BE”, unplugged and relaxed in my Eno among the majestic trees, absorbing the sights, sounds and smells offered to me by nature’s many wonders that surrounded me; the delicious, healthy lunch, and mind-freeing Zentangle afternoon activity; and the evening campfire that ended our day together, yet extended and deepened the peace, warmth and beauty I discovered and received while there. Thank you for sharing this magical place with me – I look forward to returning soon!
If you’re looking for a private retreat, look no further. This is it. I’d love to come back here when I can spend more time.
A perfectly wonderful experience.
